Safeguarding Policy

The church takes seriously its responsibility to protect and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and the vulnerable entrusted to the church’s care and have therefore adopted the procedures set out in our policy to ensure a safe, caring and inclusive environment for children, young people and vulnerable adults. Our policy can be viewed at our Church Office on request. 
 

If you have a concern about the welfare of a child, young person or vulnerable person you can contact a number of people for advice and guidance:

• Our Safeguarding Coordinator can be contacted if you have a concern about a person associated with the church, through the Church Office 01305 313993 or email office@weymouthfamilychurch.org.uk 

• Dorset Police Protection Team can be contacted on telephone number 101 or, in an emergency on 999.

• The local Children's Social Services can be contacted on 01305 760139 (Out of hours 01202 657279)

• The local Adult Social Services can be contacted on 01305 221016 (Out of hours 01202 657279)
